Grieving student criticises Israeli government for not taking 'bolder steps' toward a two-state solution

"I don't think anyone in a civilized society should think that it's appropriate to be violent towards civilians", Eden Raviv told Nick Ferrari after losing her two cousins following being held hostage with Hamas.
Student at Oxford University Eden Raviv spoke to Nick Ferrari at Breakfast after her two cousins were confirmed dead after being held hostage by Hamas.
Ms Raviv told Nick she criticises her government for not taking 'bolder steps' towards a two-state solution.
She said: "I fight for peace.
"I believe in a two-state solution, I criticise my government for not taking bolder steps towards that in the past, but I think these comments can be made at any other point, and I think right now they are made in response to a massive deprive against humanity.
"And sometimes political violence might be appropriate, I don't know, I don't have a set opinion about that, but even if we do believe that political violence is appropriate, it doesn't mean by any means necessary."

It comes as ten peace activists were taken by Hamas from Israel as hostages in the October 7 attacks.
Around 200 people were snatched into captivity in total, with four released so far, as the Israel-Hamas conflict continues.
The activists work for the charity Road to Recovery, which helps take sick Palestinians from Gaza to Israel for treatment.
Ms. Raviv continued: "It doesn't mean cutting the feet off of children, it doesn't mean burning babies, it doesn't mean raping women, it doesn't mean burning full families alive.
"You know, there must be a limit!
"There must be a limit to the type of violence we accept and who we accept it towards, and I don't think anyone in a civilised society should think that it's appropriate to be violent towards civilians in any way, but especially in this uniquely brutal way."
