Man sues Apple claiming 'his iPhone turned him gay'

A Russian man is taking Apple to court claiming his iPhone turned him gay.

D Razumilov claims he received the crypto-currency GayCoin on an app he downloaded, instead of the Bitcoin he ordered.

The currency, he claims, came with a note saying: "Don't judge until you try."

In the complaint, he added: "I thought, in truth, how can I judge something without trying? I decided to try same-sex relationships," the complainant wrote.

"Now I have a boyfriend and I do not know how to explain this to my parents."

He is now demanding to receive 1 million rubles (£16,500) in compensation as his life has been "changed for the worse" and he will "never become normal again."

D Razumilov also claims that Apple "pushed" him "towards homosexuality through manipulation".

His lawyer Sapizhat Gusnieva says Apple "has a responsibility for their programmes".

The case will be heard in court on 17 October.
