Sir Keir Starmer is the leader of the Labour Party.
Sir Keir took over from Jeremy Corbyn as the Leader of the Opposition after their disappointing defeat in the 2019 General Election.
Previously, he worked as a defence lawyer specialising in human rights issues, before becoming the Director of Public Prosecutions and Head of the Crown Prosecution Service for five years.
He arrived in parliament in 2015 and is the MP for Holborn and St Pancras.
